In this video, I share a little trick I learned in the field using my Canon R5 and my Atomos Ninja V to zoom in super close on subjects that would normally be far out of the reach of my RF 500mm lens. This is a great trick for wildlife videographers because is out performs most spotting scopes and allows for a wide variety of settings. The gear I'm using in this video is linked below. Canon EOS...

On 5/14, we observed this young wolf feeding on what was left of a bison that had perished on the bank of Blacktail Pond in northern Yellowstone National Park. It's very rare to witness a seen such as this from such an elusive animal. After close to an hour, the wolf had her fill and trotted off passed the water's edge to rejoin her pack. With the help of caring humans.
Just picked up a Hiker trailer ( used) . It’s wired for solar but didn’t come with panels and only a 32 Ah battery that I will upgrade soon. I think this type of suitcase setup will fit my needs nicely. I really like the battery monitor with the battery level as a percentage and not in volts so you have to look at a chart to translate it. Thanks for the walkthrough. TU.
Happy to help!

Sniffn the photo .

Human!..... it's what's for dinner! 😮😱😨
The bear - " say hi to Joe"
Lol
I had a pet just like that when I was 10
Well if I survive this situation I got to get new underwear before I go home
Haha I was thinking the same thing.
AWESOME!!!!
That’s some serious back scratching right there 😊
Scratch that itch....
This is cute. 😂❤
Yeah those big ass claws don’t look cute at all
Nice build! I am looking to do a very similar upgrade to my 2024 Intech Flyer Pursue. On the extension cord to the Renogy panels, you reversed the male and female mc4 leads to make the connections fit and always have the red wire as positive all the way up to the charge controller, right? The reverse polarity on the zamps always confuse me and everyone seems to flip at a different point in their wiring.
Thank you! So when I deleted the Renogy charge controller from the back of the suitcase panel, I plugged in the extension cable to the panel and it didn't work unless I used the little reverse polarity adapter. I wanted a more plug and play system and didn't want to have to rely on the adapter so I reversed the mc4 plugs on the extension cable (not on the Renogy panel. I left those stock) so that the wires connected red to red as seen in the video. It's confusing but I get why Zamp did it that way so the exposed post on the zamp port wouldn't be hot. It's a great to be able to plug in virtually any panel on the market directly into that port and get a charge going!
@@Tipton_Wildlife Thank you for the explanation!
Long live Beats!
Not exactly feasting
His wife is in the comments❗ Plz read the desc b4 commenting. By all accounts, he's not only a good man but did nothing wrong in this instance. In fact, as they said, everything right. It was a best case scenario. He also asked the Rangers NOT to euthanize the bear, she was just protecting her cub. Thanks to those reading & Blessings to his family🙏❤🐻✌️🇨🇱🇺🇸
I wrote pretty much the same thing. People a so fast to judge without knowing any facts. That is an example of the toxicity those “Touron” pages cultivate.
@@Tipton_Wildlife You should pin yours or the wives comment. It might stop at least some of the mean, no thought comments💕
Once that bear started running i would have just died,,after shitin my pants of course ..
No one is at fault. The man was enjoying a very beautiful place. However we must remember that is the bear's home. Hope the man is okay.
excellent photography man
You would think 100 yards is a safe distances until you see mama bear cover it in 3 seconds. Then the tourists scramble to get as close as possible to the bears on the side of the road like they are at Bear Country Jamboree at Disneyland.
This is amazing!!!!! You’re just living your best life out there :)
I’m back in CA. That’s why I have so much free time to edit! Lol
@@Tipton_Wildlife Well you will be back in the parks before you know it :) lol

That's not a bear. It's a bionic battle tank.

Incredible video footage Geoff! The soundtrack was a perfect addition to help us feel the suspense you and others experienced.
Oh those claws… yikes.
Where is tetons
In the state of Wyoming. South of Yellowstone National Park.
Teton in french mean tits. So grantetons is traducted Big tits😂😂😂
Look up "Boss" in Banff National Park in Canada... He's the biggest bear 🐻 in the Rockies !! 🇨🇦 He's still got nothing on the Kodiak Grizzly bears up in Alaska however... Those animals are MASSIVE 😮
Worry about the guy
We as humans take risks as such or similar to everyday. But wild animals have a right to roam freely in the mountains. We invade their space. They are wild animals and don't know if we are or aren't a threat to them. My prayers are for this man who has been attacked. May God heal his body with a fast recovery. My prayers for the family as well..
How is he today?
I hope they don't kill the bears. It's sad for the family, but they are hiking on the bears home.
Handsome Bruno❤❤👍
The unfortunate of encountering the wild in the wild. It is their territory these are the chances humans take I hope he recovers
What kind of moron would go hiking in the springtime grizzly country. Don't these idiots know they have their cubs now and are extremely protective of them .? Hope your not going to tell us they put the attacking bear to death. Geeze I'm from a major metropolitan city and even know enough to not go into grizzly county during Cub season🤪
I have no idea what Atomos Ninja is but I am looking this up now :)
It's a camera monitor with the ability to record. Great tool for videographers!
@@Tipton_Wildlife That’s so awesome. What a great tool to have.
Leave the Grizzly Bears alone!
Thank you for sharing!
Pray for his continued healing 🙏🏻
Born and lived many yrs in grizzly country, there is always a risk. This man knows that. Hiking in spring is doubly so. There are rules you follow, but sometimes it doesn't matter a bear is a bear. Hope this man recovers well.
Great job to the Rescue Team
I'm glad I like being at home!
Such an icon 🙌
Glad he has no animosity for the bear. He was intruding in her natural habitat.
Why did all the reports say "on signal mtn"?
